Artist Bio
Laura Jackett uses various techniques to produce her artworks including Polaroid Manipulation, Alternative Photographic Processes, Bookbinding and computer manipulation. Generally, the imagery stems from a straight black and white negative or color slide and is treated with various photographic means to produce an original and unique image.
Laura is an alumnus of SUNY Geneseo, Buffalo State College and RIT. She has won awards for the work she has shown internationally.
Laura has taught at various colleges including Ithaca, Cazenovia, and Onondaga Community College as well as many workshops at such places as The Smithsonian Institution and The George Eastman House.
