Class Description: There are all kinds of ways to make three dimensional art objects. We’re going to explore just one in this sometimes messy hands-on workshop.

How about plaster casting? Roll up your sleeves and stick your hands into a bucket of plaster! We need to mix out the air bubbles before we pour it into a milk carton to set.

Later we’ll use butter knives and nutpicks to carve the blocks. How about using plaster-coated strips to make a cast of your foot or hand?

Other three dimensional pieces can be created with bendable wire that can be twisted into figural shapes, We can also use pieces of wood we glue together to create a new shape,

We can finish the sculpture by painting the surface.

And finally, we might choose to cut out a shape from foam core that can stand up and be decorated.
