Course Description: Do you like boxes? Students will produce one finished box during the class. The skills students need to be able to construct a box are folding, gluing and patience. Glue the precut bookboard pieces together to form a tray; choose beautiful Japanese paper to cover your box, and choose a contrasting paper for the lid. Once you know the basics of making a box, you can modify it to any size to hold a book, collectibles or allow it to stand alone as it’s own piece of art. Bring your own exacto knife and self-healing mat if you have them.
